Suzanne Vega
American songwriter and singer Suzanne Vega will perform with her trio on July 22 in the intimate atmosphere of the Archa Theatre. The vocalist, producer, teller of stories from the streets of New York and "mother of the MP3" is one of the most important figures in the neo-folk movement at the start of the 1980s. Her successful 1985 debut album Suzanne Vega followed by Solitude Standing catapulted her to folk-rock stardom.
Thanks to her charming unaffectedness and extraordinary feeling for big city stories and the poetry of the street, Vega has gained the admiration of fans on both sides of the ocean. Her concerts are emotionally charged and urgent, as Czech audiences have come to know many times. Vega regularly returns to the Czech Republic, with her most recent performance here being in 2012. In July she will perform in the Archa Theatre together with guitarist Gerry Leonard and Dougie Yowell on drums.
Concert presented by the Archa Theatre together with 10:15 Entertainment.
