British trio The Tiger Lillies, who regularly return to Prague, will perform on September 20 at their local base at the Archa Theatre with a new concert program and a new drummer. Czech audiences have been familiar with the trio since the 1990s, when they played in Žižkov clubs. Their unconventional musical expression, which singer Martyn Jacques has called "Brechtian punk cabaret", defies all musical categories. Dark, rough and passionate songs full of black humour and irony explore the dark side of human existence. The group was formed in 1989 in London and has created more than two dozen albums. Joining The Tiger Lillies as guests will be the Allstar Refjúdží Band, which blends five languages and dozens of musical styles, from Czech polka to Chinese opera.
