“We live of dance and theatre”
Artistic grouping elledanse is a connection of an alternative theatre and a dance school, which was founded by a choreographer Šárka Ondrišová.  It has been functioning right from its start in 2007. elledanse has an ambition to create an open-space; where artist could be creative and visitors like to return to. A former slaughter house in Miletičová Str. in Bratislava was a good turn to this aim, so it was transformed into a T&D house. Thanks to this unique project of the T&D house foreign and domestic theatre groups and dance companies can present their production here. T&D house is a place, where an idea of all genre and style gets a form.
The elledanse – alternative theatre is a group of dancers and actors, who as a unit reach behind the borders of a conventional performance. Joining live music, movement, acting and dance gives an origin to a multi-genre art-experience. Over the period of 3 years several projects were successfully accomplished. The first one “Canto Hondo - A Deep Song about Her...” was awarded in three categories of Dosky Awards 2008 for Best production, Best directing and Best scenic music. The second one with a symbolic title “Apple” had a premiere in April 2009. The third one The Tribute To The Cow, this time not Of Mice And Men but of cows and men, was premiered in January 2010. Quadrans, created by four choreographs, was premiered in October 2010. Next one - 4MEN was awarded in category the best stage music Dosky 2011. The project was made as a part of dance evening Made in Slovakia in the dramaturgy of Slovak National Theatre. A brand new one project The Water on the Water was presented in December 2011. We are presenting all our productions with success home and abroad as well. The quality of our work is also acknowledged with the third consecutive invitation to perform in the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava.
