Czerish Festival / Mark Geary, Paul Tiernan and guests

The first concert of the new Czerish Festival is kicking off with two amazing Irish musicians Mark Geary and Paul Tiernan.

The Czerish Festival will continue throughout the year with more Irish artists and the concerts will be held in the Archa Theater.

Irish musician Mark Geary left his home city of Dublin at 19 years old for New York where he quickly developed his own style and settled into the local folk community. Often returning to the green island Mark Geary became an integral part of the rich Irish music scene of the 90s, which was also home to others such as The Frames, Damien Rice and Bell X1. No stranger to concerts in the Czech Republic he has previously toured with Glen Hansard both on his solo gigs and also with The Frames.

Paul Tiernan is an excellent guitarist and singer with a silky voice that sounds as harsh as gravel at the same time. Considered one of Europe’s best songwriters, he was born in Cork, Ireland and now resides in France. Paul is best known as a member of the Irish band Interference.
