420PEOPLE is a merging of artists that insist on high performance standards and professionalism but still incorporate playfulness and daring in the contemporary dance vocabulary they bring to the stage, their view of improvisation as part of the dance piece, and their unorthodox dialogue with audiences in the form of discusses held right after the performance. At the centre of 420PEOPLE are Václav Kuneš and Nataša Novotná and their artistic vision and ongoing efforts to create a company that can bear the label Made By Czechs but still resonates with international dance arts. 420PEOPLE receives the support of the BNP Paribas Foundation for the development of its projects since 2009.
