Remembering Lou Reed and Václav Havel

Lou Reed and Václav Havel are a part of Archa. This is where Havel's last play premiered and where Lou Reed played his last Prague concert. People who like Lou Reed also like Václav Havel and vice versa. They are two names that inspired a generation.

American bass guitarist Fernando Saunders, a member of Lou Reed's band, will perform as a special guest at the commemorative evening on December 18. The evening will also feature screenings of unique films and music clips from Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground and archival photographs by leading Czech photographers.

From 5:00 p.m. a seminar of "Lou Reed-ologists", with a discussion about the relationship of the underground, art, dissent and politics in the Czech Republic. Moderated by Jan Macháček and Ondřej Hrab.

8:00 p.m. Concert with: Plastic People of The Universe, Tony Ducháček & Garage, Velvet Underground Revival Band, Please The Trees, special guest: Fernando Saunders.
