AKCENT 2011 - Kateřina Jungová, Martina Musilová & Co.: The Common Body/Corpus Vulgaris

The authors’ show is the culmination of a two-year project called Having a body, being a body. At the start of the project the author’s asked a question: how do we actually perceive the human body and what is our relationship to it? The resultant project incorporates the experiences of people who live with various physical and social handicaps as well as people whose relationship to the body is influenced by their profession or age. These people are also the co-creators and stars of the performance.

The show will be followed by a discussion with the authors, a banquet and a dancehall event.
