Amadeus (i.e. Beloved by God) - Peter Shaffer / Goose on a String Theatre
An homage to Miloš Forman. Are we able to withstand the light when it too vehemently shines in our eyes? Amadeus. He behaves like a runaway teenager and makes brilliant music. Antonio. He claims to be the patron saint of the average and his frustration leads to crime. The sounds of the almost otherworldly Requiem float over and over through the air. One wants to cry, to repent, and here and there to pray, but there is no longer anyone to pray to. Salieri silenced God.
